Ferret's Chase is a board party-game created on Tabletop Simulator, aiming to simulate a Kickstarter-like product as our first Game Design academic project.
In this game, players compete in a survival race combining strategy and luck. One player assumes the role of the Ferret, whose goal is to hunt down the other characters within a set number of turns, while the remaining players take on the roles of the Prey — small, seemingly defenseless animals that still have tricks up their sleeves.

The game board is made up of tiles, shuffled at the beginning of each game to ensure high replayability. These tiles are placed face down and are gradually revealed as the game unfolds, uncovering various points of interest along the way.
AS A GAME DESIGNER
-
I spent the first part of the project helping my team during the Pre-production phase, adapting and creating documentation templates while doing extensive research on every topic was needed.

-
I worked extensively especially on Market Analysis documents, such as Competitors Analysis; and on Team Management Tools, such as Project Timelines and Traffic Light Doc.

-
During the entire production process, I managed the team's calendar to organize meetings, calls, and playtesting sessions, as well as to keep track of our milestones and deadlines

-
I was responsible for the design and implementation of several features, including one of our USPs: the "Fuoco Fatuo" (lit. "will-o'-the-wisp"). This feature gives the first eliminated player another chance to participate in the game as a highly unpredictable entity, helping to minimize frustration and support the negative feedback loop we aimed to create

Lastly, I redacted our Rulebook, which is currently only in its Italian version awaiting translation into English as we explore our publishing options
